A Holiday Programme based on
entertainment, education and safety
Our affordable out-of-school care for primary school children (ages 5 – 13 years ) is available all over Auckland. We encourage kids to grow and learn together so we can create a curious and fun environment.
Each day focuses on a different theme, with a range of engaging activities happening each day! From arts and crafts, to sports and trips – we’ve made sure no two days are the same and that there’s something for every child to enjoy!

We provide your child with
an opportunity

Exciting Trips
We aim to pick the most exciting and unique offsite trips so kids get to experience a variety of new things during the holidays.

Self-directed Play
There is a large variety of different toys, puzzles and games for children to explore during their session.

Inclusive and Diverse Space
Our schools have a diverse group of kids and we do our best to create a space where everyone is welcome, and celebrated. Specifically, we do lots of activities teaching kids about the diversity of the world and how to be respectful to others.

Outdoor & Physical Activity
We encourage children to play outside or be active indoors as much as possible. We love to play games together to get the energy out of our systems.

Educational Focus
We understand the importance of balancing fun and educational content so we tailor our sessions to either include time for homework or include educational content.

FAQ’S
Learn to Play, Converse
with Confidence.
Our programme teams will send someone out to pick up new children from their classrooms until they are confident to do it on their own. We recommend you call/text us to let us know your child is new and what their school and room number is before their first day.
Each programme is qualified to receive an OSCAR Subsidy. Qualifying families can apply through Work and Income New Zealand. To find out more on the OSCAR Subsidy and to check if you might qualify, visit our OSCAR Subsidy page.
For any days onsite, we have a 1:10 ratio at all times. On trip days out in our community, we have a ratio of 1:8. Higher risk activities, such as swimming, require more supervision, so we alter the ratio based on the activity.
If your child requires medication or has allergies our teams should be aware of, please ensure you add all the necessary details on the safety form when you make a booking. Any medication you give permission for our teams to administer or your child to self-administer will be logged and tracked for you.
- Short sessions will be automatically charged at the longer session if the time exceeds 5 minutes.
- We will never leave a child alone and unattended. If your child is not picked up within 15 minutes of the programme closing, we will call parents/caregivers and emergency contacts and there is a charge of $13. Every 15 minutes that passes, the late fee of $13 is added. If we cannot reach any contacts within an hour of the programme closing, the Programme Manager/Franchise Owner will call the police and Oranga Tamariki for advice.
Your child can attend most Kowhai Kids Club programmes across Auckland. Please contact us to confirm if a certain location is the best for you.
- Please contact us before you enrol, if your child has a disability or a special need. The more information you supply to us, the better informed and prepared we are able to be in providing effective and adequate care for your child.
- The ability of any particular programme to accommodate the needs of your child is determined by the requirements of your child, the facilities available, and qualifications and availability of staff associated with that particular programme.
- We are proud that in most cases we can accommodate a variety of needs. Please be aware that a trial period may be required for assessment purposes; this will be done jointly by the Kowhai Kids Club Owner to ensure that your childs’ needs are being met adequately.
