Fully Accredited
We are proud to be completely industry compliant and officially accredited by MSD. In addition, we have our own internal compliance framework and systems, in-depth staff training and policies and procedures protocols

Approved accreditor for WINZ subsidies
We understand childcare can be expensive for families. By maintaining accreditor status, caregivers have the option of applying for WINZ subsidies. Eligibility and potential savings depends on levels of income against the WINZ subsidy framework. Our onsite team and Administrators are ready and able to help parents with WINZ applications.

Health and safety protocols are core to Kowhai Kids Club
Our robust procedures, regular staff training and systems for logging and maintaining incident records help keep your children safe on site. Our staff have learnt how to prevent, recognise and respond to abuse through appropriate training with Child Protection agencies. Emergency evacuation and other drills are conducted in site, regularly.

Highly skilled and dedicated staff
Staff working at a Kowhai Kids Club programme have a ‘duty of care’, meaning all possible care is taken to ensure the well-being of all children. We believe in the development of our staff as well as the children. Staff to Child ratios are a minimum of 1:10 at all times. For higher risk activities (such as offsite trips), ratios are dependent on the environment and vary between 6 – 10 children per staff member.

Programme and activity development
We constantly review our activity ideas and programme initiatives, to keep them relevant and rewarding. We always aim for fun and hands on activities that encourage education and adventure.

Celebration of diversity and inclusion
We recognise and develop activities and theme days in line with the cultural diversity of our children and school communities. This is how we offer tailored programmes for individual sites based on the community we operate within.
